Antonios joined us in Piraeus in 1993 with 11 years of sea service. He headed our Bulgarian operations from 1998 to 1999 when the Bourgas office became correspondent for most IG P&I Clubs, then returned to Piraeus to continue work on casualty surveys. Since the end of 2005 Antonios has been based in our Constantza office heading the Romanian operations.

One of the company's most senior surveyors, Antonios has extensive experience with casualty work in the Black Sea, including major grounding, collision and fire damage to vessels as well as damage to port installations and facilities. He also has particular experience with the shipyards in Romania and Bulgaria at which he has attended numerous repairs on behalf of underwriters.

On the loss prevention side and as a senior surveyor, Antonios has undertaken a great number of vetting inspections and assisted test driving new condition survey formats as these were being developed by the Clubs in the past 10 years. He is considered to be an an expert on the vetting of passenger ships.

A graduate of the Naval Academy of Hydra, Antonios served on various merchant and navy vessels, including general cargo, reefers and cruise vessels. Through this experience, combined with that gained in each of our offices, Antonios has an excellent understanding of the shipping industry in Greece and the Black Sea.
