Achilleas joined our Piraeus office in 2006 as a P&I claims handler. He has a particular interest in environmental protection issues and immediately prior joining us he worked for the Hellenic Marine Environmental Protection Association (HELMEPA) where he updated member companies of new legislation and developments, as well as training seafarers on pollution prevention. He also served as a member of the Greek delegation to the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee.
In addition Achilleas handles cargo, crew and FDD cases and has experience in claims arising from charterparties during his previous employment in the operations departments of various shipping companies.
Achilleas holds a BSc(Hons) in Maritime Studies and a Master of Laws in Legal Aspects of Marine Affairs from Cardiff University.
